Dr Mathis is an amazing psychiatrist with a ton of experience. He always makes himself available to his patients and will go out of his way to help them. Just generally a good guy. I've had multiple psychiatrists (and he's by far the best) and therapists, but he's the only one I've dealt with at Bluegrass Psychiatry.

The front desk staff are very helpful and knowledgeable as well.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Mathis for 4 years or so. He is an amazing doctor and man. Has saved my life many times and is the best doctor I’ve ever had. He cares a lot about his patients and it shows. He is always there for me. Grateful for Bluegrass Psychiatry!

I have been a patient of Dr. Mathis for many years. He’s a great mental health practitioner that genuinely cares about his patients. Although, he’s no longer actively practicing, he took the time to diligently hand pick each provider for his practice. I highly recommend Bluegrass Psychiatry.

Helen is the absolute best provider that you could ask for. She listens, is thoughtful in her responses, and she genuinely seems to care about her patients, which is a rarity in this field unfortunately. I would recommend her to anyone looking for this type of service. She is simply the best!
