I am a Maryland Licensed Certified Social Worker with a Clinical Specialty. I received my Master Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore.

I have over 30 years in the field of mental health/behavioral health as a therapist and administrator.  My work with people is based on understanding their unique strengths and using these to address the challenges and goals they have identified.  I believe the values of empathy, compassion and understanding provide the basis for a successful therapy experience.  My practice experience includes working in private practice settings, community behavioral health settings, and inpatient behavioral health.  My work includes individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy and group therapy.  I use the techniques of reflective listening, cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing (and others) in my work.  My experiences include working with those with various diagnoses including the chronic mental illness, depression and anxiety.  I have served as Clinic Director for over 7 years and supervised therapists in other settings.  As a therapist, I'm committed that those I work with feel listened to, supported, and appropriately challenged to try new actions and adopt other perspectives in ways that feel congruent with who they are.

At Bluegrass Mental Health, Mr. Blair currently accepts Carefirst of Maryland (Bluecross/Blueshield, Bluechoice, etc), John Hopkins EHP/USFHP, as well as CIGNA and United Healthcare/Optum Behavioral Healthcare.
